Embracing ChangeI love Joel Osteen. He is probably my favorite speaker/pastor of all time. Shea & I have seen him speak twice and both times were unbelievably moving. He encourages and inspires me and that is what he says he loves to do. With all of the decisions that I have made in the last couple of weeks, I swear it was like Joel was speaking just to me this morning! His sermon was about embracing change and how sometimes God purposely closes (sometimes slams) doors to allow us to move on and grow. Well even though so many doors have shut rather abruptly, I have kept my faith and I know that God's timing is what I will always follow. As big as our problems seem at times, our God is so much bigger! Here are two verses that Joel quoted and I couldn't help but smile:
Job 29:18Then I said, 'I shall die in my nest'Dueteronomy 32:11 & 12As an eagle stirs up it's nest, hovers over it's young, spreading out its wings, taking them up, carrying them on its wings, so the Lord alone led him, and there was no foreign God with him.My nest has sure been stirred up but I know God is carrying me on His mighty wings and I'm going to enjoy the ride! I know that He will direct my path!
