Love & Ice Cream

Call me sentimental...but last night I saw an action that brought a tear to my eye-

With the recent CA heatwave scorching us by day, I decided to stop at our local "Foster Freeze" to let my daugter get a shake. As she hopped out and placed her order, I sat in my air conditioned car just "people watching". I noticed a couple drive up and then as the man got out of his car, he gave a kiss to his lady partner and ran up to the window. He then ran back to the car carrying a large, swirl cone and handed it to his partner through the window. She smiled and said, "Thank you...I love you". Now it may seem like a simple, sweet gesture but what got to me was that he did not get anything for himself.

It made me smile and think of the phrase :

"Actions Speak Louder Than Words."

By the way...I did enjoy a few sips of my daughter's chocolate shake! :)

Favorite Flower: Daisies

This month on my desk blotter was a most welcomed surprise:

A huge boquet of Daisies looking so beautiful...although on paper...it made me smile with a warmth in my heart that only flowers can bring to me!
To add icing on the cake was the quote that was on the same page for July:
"Sometimes we stare so long at a door that is closing that we see too late the one that is open."
Alexander Graham Bell - What a wise man & the telephone to boot!
Don't search for the answers, which could not be given to you now, because you would not be able to live them. And the point is to live everything. Live the questions now. Perhaps then, someday far in the future, you will gradually, without even noticing it, live your way to the answer.
