Fortune Cookies

I took Shea out for Chinese food on Thursday night. It is a new place that I just discovered with Vickie & Steve from work. I had only been there once but loved it and I knew Shea would love it too. It was really yummy and we both were stuffed by the time we were ready to leave with boxes of leftovers. I left to go to the restroom and when I got back to the table...Shea had already picked her fortune cookie! Shea & I have had this fight before...regarding the whole fortune cookie etiquette! The "correct" etiquette for fortune cookies is that whoever takes the plate of them...they need to hold it to the other person/people and offer them a cookie so that they can pick their own! It is not your fortune if you don't pick it. So I was teasing her and I told her that when she opened her cookie it would not really be her fortune because she did not let me choose mine! I told her that I would hold the plate and let her choose hers, but she was not giving hers up! I know what you're thinking...petty, petty! Hey, tradition is tradition!
Just as I thought would happen...she got mine and I got hers:

Shea's read: "You will find good fortune in love."
