One of my favorite books has become Joel Osteen's "Your Best Life Now". It seems that I re-read it constantly. I have found that my favorite part of the book is on Page 16 and it reads:
Admittedly, sometimes good things don't happen as quickly as we would like, but instead of slouching into negative expectations, we must keep our minds set on God. Your attitude should be, "God I know that you are at work in my life. Although the miracle I've been watching for didn't happen today, I know I am one day closer to it! I am one day closer to my answered prayer, and I am not going to get upset. I'll not allow myself to become discouraged. I know that Your timing is perfect, so I'm going to stay in an attitude of faith and keep trusting You to do what is best."
I read this part of the book almost daily- it is such a wonderful reminder to me to do as my favorite Bible verse says:
Proverbs 3: 5&6 -Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your path.
Faith, Hope & Trust are really groovy!
