Please Pray For My Friend
It has been a rough and emotional couple of months for me, between my surgery and another very personal matter. Without going into detail, please pray for one of my best friends. I have grown up with him and have had him in my life for as long as I can remember. We currently still share the single most important thing in life together. He has struggled for years with being addicted to drugs and has finally entered rehabilitation last Saturday night. It is what I have been praying for almost as long as I have known him. It appears that his family and his wife are finally aware of what a serious illness he has. (somewhat validating me for what was before discarded with denial) Even though I have been removed from the obligation of marriage, the wounds that were left have become raw and painful knowing what they all are going through. In the deepest place of my heart, I want him to get better, to love life and live it in the ways that he will be healthy. I have always wanted that for him. I truly believe that God is the only one who can make the transformation and make him the man and father that he deserves to be. Once I love someone, I will love them forever. Please pray for him and lift him up to the Lord to keep His hands cradling him when things get tough to handle.
Thanks!
Titus 2:12
"Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and wordly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age."
Philippians 4:13
"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."
Romans 8:28
"And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose."
Romans 14:13
"Therefore let us not judge one another anymore, but rather resolve this, not to put a stumbling block or a cause to fall in our brother's way."
