The Beach

There is something about being near the ocean that I love. I always feel closer to God when I can pray and just gaze at the beauty of the waves. One of my favorite things is to see the sun reflecting off of the water- I can't help but wonder how someone can see that image and not believe that God is right there with each of us! I spent some time yesterday at the beach and these were the two verses that kept coming to my mind:

Proverbs 16:3 Commit to the Lord whatever you do and your plans will succeed.

Proverbs 16:9 In his heart a man plans his course, but the Lord determines his steps.

One of my favorite sayings is:

God laughs when we make plans!
