Rice Crispie Squares...or are they?

Shea has definitely found the love of cooking and baking. She enjoys watching the cooking channel and is not afraid of using the stove. She made Rice Crispie Squares last week when Hayley was over and I have to admit that they were as good, if not better than when I make them! She is going to help Kim with the kids on Wednesdays during the summer which she is so excited about. Yesterday, she called and asked me if I would stop and buy more marshmellows on my way home from work so that she could make some treats and take them for the kids. I was busy doing something in our place when she started making them but went to check on her and found that she wasn't making squares at all. She had started to make small, bitesize, round Rice Crispie treats. At first I said, "Oh Honey...why are you doing that? Just make the squares like you did last week." But she insisted that there were no "rules" on what shape they could or couldn't be! She wanted the circles and so that was that! The funny thing about how different our minds are...I would have never even thought about making them a different shape. (I know they have Mickey Mouse shaped ones at Disneyland) I guess I am such a rule follower? No, that's not it...maybe, my mind is not as creative as hers is! Yep, because we all know how I love to break the rules!!!!
