The Brick Wall
Thanksgiving was a great day! I have not laughed so hard as I did with my sister, Cindy, Thanksgiving night. Our mom lives in an apartment so the parking is bad most of the time, so I offered to pick Cin, Chelsea & Peter up so we only had one car. We get there and can't find parking but there is an empty lot next door where the hospital is that I actually delivered Shea at. Anyway, we ended up parking in the empty lot but there was a 3-4 foot block wall (it may as well have been 20 feet high!) that we literally all had to climb over. (Thank God that I was just wearing sweats- didn't dress up for my mom!) Once I start laughing, let's just say that it doesn't take much for me to start acting really silly. So, Peter hopped over the thing with such ease, like a typical 14 year old boy, Chels did pretty good, Shea did well, and Thank God again that I am very limber because I got one leg up, started laughing and was sitting on the wall (like on a teeter-totter) face down, in hysterics!!! I think it was when Cin started to "boost" me up from behind that I just lost it. Cin was not far behind me and I swear, I felt like we were back in elementary school again! It was so stinkin' funny! Got to my moms, ate a wonderful dinner and had to make our way back to the car and over the brick wall once again...this time with full tummies! This time, my poor Uncle Adrian (who I am named after) was, I am so sorry to say, there to bear witness to the whole ugly scene once again! He's always so serious and I even heard him cracking up! I started giggling again with Cin and I barely made it over in one piece! I will be breaking up in laughter over this one for many years to come! I swear, it was probably the best part of my Thanksgiving this year! The last thing I remember saying to Cin was that I was so glad that my best friend, Lisa, was not there. Lisa would have peed her pants laughing at/with us!!!!!
